SAN Group Member Agencies and Strategic Partners Join Forces to Support Veterans

The SAN Group team helped members and partners raise over $14,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project

HAMPTON, N.H. — The pressing needs of so many disabled U.S. combat veterans have garnered increased public attention and concern over the past several years.
Satellite Agency Network Group Inc. (SAN) decided to lend its support to veterans by leading a fundraising effort with its member agencies and strategic partners.
Their collective effort culminated with SAN recently presenting a donation check for more than $14,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Founded in 2003, the Wounded Warrior Project helps injured service members and their families rebuild their lives after veterans return home from current conflicts.
The Wounded Warrior Project operates as a nonprofit charity, focusing its free programs, services and events on the physcial, mental and long-term financial well-being of injured veterans who have been wounded in military action following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
SAN decided to support the Wounded Warrior Project because, in addition to a number of SAN staffers, many employees of its member agencies are involved in military-related charitable organizations. In addition, several member agency personnel are either active or retired military. As such, Wounded Warrior was a compelling charity donation choice for SAN, particularly in light of the range of offerings it seeks to provide to wounded military personnel and their families.
Once the fundraising campaign was officially launched last fall, donations were collected at regional meetings throughout SAN’s territories in the Northeast, ranging from Portland, Maine, to Buffalo, New York.

Meetings were attended by SAN member agency principal owners, SAN and Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance executives and numerous representatives from strategic partner insurance companies, as well as program partners and vendors.

The collection drive concluded shortly after Thanksgiving, and SAN then matched all member agency donations it received, dollar for dollar. In addition to the contributions of SAN and its member agencies, Arbella Insurance, Safeco Insurance and Concord Group Insurance made notable partner company donations.
