Jan. 11, 2016 – Hampton, N.H. – SIAA (Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance), the nation’s largest insurance agency alliance, recently announced a national partnership with LifeLock, one of the nation’s premier identity protection providers. Under the partnership, SIAA member agencies can refer their personal lines clients to LifeLock at a discounted rate, and offer it as a payroll deduction employee benefit to their commercial lines clients, also at a discounted rate.
LifeLock’s services include monitoring of bank and credit accounts, credit ratings, a patented alert system and assistance in restoration of identity should a theft occur.
“Identity theft is a growing problem and LifeLock estimates there were 12.7 million victims and 904 million records exposed by data breaches in the U.S. in 2014,” said SIAA CEO Jim Masiello. “With this partnership, we’re enabling our member agencies to offer the best identity theft protection to their customers at a special, discounted rate so they can live more freely in the digital age.”
SIAA has signed 5,700 member agencies through its 48 master agencies across the country. They will access LifeLock through SIAA MarketFinder, SIAA’s online, member-only portal for difficult-to-place and specialty risk markets.
The SIAA-LifeLock consumer program is effective today. The commercial lines program is expected to launch in March 2016.
