SIAA Reports Strong Mid‐Year Growth, Signs 5,000th Member Agency

July 21, 2014 – Hampton, N.H. – SIAA (Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance) today announced it signed 204 new member agencies in the first six months of 2014, including the 5,000th member agency since its inception in 1995. SIAA also reached $5 billion in in‐force premium during this six‐month period. SIAA’s 5,000th member agency is Johnson & Johnson Insurance Services, LLC of Columbia, MD, which signed with the Potomac Insurance Network, one of the 49 master agencies that comprise SIAA. “These impressive milestones demonstrate the success of our integrated model,” said SIAA CEO Jim Masiello. “We continue to provide small to mid‐sized agencies, as well as captive agents looking to break free and open their own independent agency, with access to major reputable carriers and valuable resources that facilitate growth.” Along with member and premium growth, SIAA also launched three new initiatives in the first half of 2014 designed to help its member agencies grow: Business Insurance Advantage, an educational program that gives member agencies the ability to start or grow a profitable book of small commercial lines business. Agency Foundation, a program designed to assist new member start‐up agencies get established sooner than might otherwise be possible.
